Doris Rippey - Senior Partner

Doris offers Strengthening Leaders’ clients a unique blend of practical experience and academic depth. Her focus is on Human Resource Development with an emphasis on intercultural issues and large-scale organizational change.

During the past ten years, she has worked in a variety of policy positions in the Federal sector, crafting human resources policy for a Federal workforce of 2 million employees. She provided policies to Federal, state, and local agencies partnering to provide career and labor exchange services to the American public through the nationwide Federal workforce development system.

Doris began her professional career in international educational exchange and community building in the not-for-profit and educational sectors. She worked with the Center for Education Abroad at Arcadia University, where she administered study abroad programs.

She then became Director of Resident and International Student Programs at the International House of Philadelphia, where she facilitated the creation of a 400-person intercultural community from 85 nations. She also designed and delivered extensive cross-cultural training programs and led a successful organizational transformation from hierarchical management processes to collaborative, team-based approach.

Doris holds an MA in Human Resource Development from the George Washington University; a BA in African linguistics from the University of the Sorbonne in Paris; a BA in German and French from Bryn Mawr College; and was a Fulbright Fellow in Germany, where she engaged in folklore studies.
